The drink special was bomb Cinco De Mayo weekend. The vibe was vibing, I love finding a place where people of color can come out and have a great time w/no issues. The DJ was dope too, the only eh thing I can say is the food was a really long wait we ended up having to get a refund but we didn't trip bc we were bar hopping. We will definitely be back tho!
It doesn't look like the pix, smaller, but it was nice. Tuesday was several comedians. All were not good, even the headliner, Jacob Williams. I think he knew it wasn't going to go well while he was sitting at the bar listening to the others. It wasn't the crowd being "tough," but all of the comics seemed awkward, and all the jokes fell flat. I was embarrassed for them. The saving grace was Ruth and the other ladies behind the bar. They worked the room and the bar. The ladies were very friendly, ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL (Ethiopian women are stunning IMO) and provided great service to match. The bar isn't huge, maybe 10 seats +/-, the hookah was good, they kept the coals fresh, the price was good $25 hh/$35 regular. I wasn't a fan of the fries. The fresh chicken tenders were juicy and good sauce selections. I liked it, I'd recommend visiting and I plan to be back. The comedy was just my personal opinion but did not take away from the awesome lil (clean) sports bar.
The DJ sounded fairly well with musical sets, the bar attention and service was friendly but also... odd, the restrooms need better tending to; there are 2 and 1 of them was out of order. Another patron who was with a group of people shared with me that it took about an hour for an order of wings to be brought out. Most of my attention was on the basketball games on TV and realizing my 2nd of the same drink tasted different from the first. And being amidst hookah smoking, I probably won't be back.
Definitely the best happy hour in DC. The shots only $5 and it’s a good selection. I was feeling myself leaving lol. I love it there. THE DISTRICT SPORTS BAR IS IT 🩷
The atmosphere is fantastic to include the friendly staff. The District Sports Bar have reasonable prices and also great happy hour.
