I've been taking my wife and daughter to them for close to 14 years. My daughter basically grew up in Ms Emma's chair even my son gets his hair done there. Great atmosphere and they are very professional.
I personally traveled from North Carolina to try this famous Africian Braiding location. Note to self it's located near Wawa; Walk around to see the entrance. I loved how friendly the entire staff was! Also, thanks for keeping your shop Covid-19 Compliant. Thanks, Emma and Elizabeth, for both giving me stunning thick box braids. I personally was tired of dealing with my natural hairSo I desired a change. I must add Elizabeth is pictured below, and her skin complexion is mesmerizing. Just gorgeous!! I laughed alot and had a great time, and ill always be grateful. 1. Emma only takes Cash. 2. It's more affordable if you bring your own hair: 5 bundles is good. 3. Must keep wearing your mask the entire time you are inside the salon. 4. Please don't book if you can't keep your appointment. 5. If you are getting box braids like me, keep in mind it's a 5hr install. 6. Have an image of the hairstyle you would like to have. 7. Lastly, have fun and be patient. Overall, they do a good job. However, there needs to be consistency with the prices of hair styles. The price is always changing especially once they finished your hair. I have been going there for the past eight months and I switch between twist and braids which I always get bra length. The price of the different types of hair styles should be posted for everyone to see. Transparency is Key.
I did braids and my head felt like I had done nothing. I had asked for my braids to be full but all I can see is gaps in between.
Emma is always nice and her hair dressers very friendly and do good work
