Ok now let me tell you if you are in South Carolina…Come on over to Hilton head island because this food right here!!!!! I was staying in a hotel nearby and thought that I wanted seafood and as I was googling places close to me that delivered I saw this one was in walking distance. I went ahead and looked at the menu online. First of all everyone who eats here should be writing about how spectacular the food is because it is just that! There was nothing that I ordered that I did not like. I had Mac and cheese, rice and peas ox tails, curry chicken, pineapple soda, and I can’t remember what type of dumplings they were, but they were a little spicy and amazing! I met the owners who are awesome and the swag of the restaurant was giving total Jamaican vibes! There is a Bar inside, and a few folks were hanging out. Very good energy at the spot. I can’t wait to return!
Best food on the island. The collards were excellent, the goat stew is flavorful. Delicious mixed drinks, and very friendly staff. Couldn't tell if it was open when we pulled up but otherwise it's fantastic.
We had a chance to visit Red Stripes a couple of weeks ago and let me tell you... This is one of THE most amazing Caribbean restaurants that I've ever visited. The place was very, very clean. The staff was very very friendly and the food was very very VERY good. 🤤 I consider myself a Caribbean food connoisseur and I've eaten at pretty much all the Caribbean places in my hometown of Charlotte, but while we were in Hilton Head, we decided to stop by and try red stripes. We also frequent Jamaica and the food here tasted exactly like some of the best 5 star restaurants in Jamaica. We also got a chance to chat with the owner, his wife and their staff and they were really gracious and down to earth and made it a point to make us feel welcomed. This is truly a hidden gem off the beaten path in Hilton Head. I had the ribs, collards and macaroni and cheese and it was amazing 🤩. I also ordered some cocoa bread and it was so good that we had to order it twice! These guys definitely know what they're doing! So keep up the great excellent work "Mi Gena" and stay earth strong! We're rooting for you and will definitely be back soon to have a little taste of Jamaica!
Just awesome food. Went for dinner back to back nights. Had the jerk chicken and the goat curry but the star of the show is the RASTA. PASTA. RASTA. PASTA. They’re putting something different in that dish. Truly amazing and miraculously dairy free/vegan if you’re lactose intolerant or have an allergy. Even with it no cheese, it is incredibly creamy and savory with a little spice. If I could eat it every day, I would. Also the restaurant itself features cool murals wall art, and the staff is super nice. I’m sure it’d be a great experience dining in as well. Absolutely recommend. Definitely some of the best food in Hilton Head.
Because we must always support small businesses!! The food was absolutely amazing! Full of flavor and just absolutely comforting. The coco bread was deelishhhh especially when dipped in the curry sauce, lawddddd so good. And the service was great, everyone was so sweet and on top of things. I'm not from the area but I definitely recommend it to anyone who comes down here or even if you are from here and want some good Caribbean food!! (I had plantain nachos (the picture), coco bread and beef patty)
