I've had multiple pieces of clothing altered here. The team is great. Super knowledgeable and more than willing to go above and beyond to make sure your pieces fit exactly as you want them to. They've always been quick to explain their pricing and even offer alternate solutions that would be less expensive. They always make sure you're happy with your pieces before you leave. I definitely would trust them with any pieces in my wardrobe.
Tailoress Atelier has gone above and beyond for me this year, reworking several evening-wear dresses worn for weddings and special events. They have successfully taken in an evening gown in two full sizes for me, reworked a cowl neck, and updated a vintage dress I plan to wear to my sister's wedding. I am a repeat customer and happy to have found such great tailors I can trust for the desired outcome!
I have brought several vintage and second-hand pieces here to be tailored and have always had a great experience. Natalie is super skilled, honest about what alterations can and cannot be made, and a very good communicator. I just picked up back a bunch of newly-tailored clothes for a new job and I am so excited to wear them. Highly recommend!
I am extremely disappointed with my experience here - I am not one to write bad reviews but I want others to avoid the same experience that I had. I had taken a dress in for a hem, and when I came to pick up the dress it was completely unfinished. The scrap material was still pinned to the dress, and it had only been cut so the material was fraying. I rescheduled my pickup for another week out (the first appointment had already taken two weeks, and I unfortunately had to reschedule again to even later because the day of pickup was the flashfloods). When I came to pickup I asked for a discount for my trouble, and was said I would only be granted 10% off. For a hem simple service that costs $150, and when I arrived to pickup only after receiving multiple emails that the dress was complete for them to not be able to finish it for another week, and then when I finally do pick up to be told that I can't be given that much of a discount because I had to reschedule my pickup (due to flash flooding), I am shocked that 10% was all they were willing to offer, and only after I asked. I understand that mistakes happen, but how this ridiculous mishap was handled confirms that neither me nor my friends who recommended your services will ever patronize again.
I don't know anything about clothing other than that my shirts didn't fit. These folks were so helpful, explaining what could and couldn't be done and all the options available for the adjustments. I felt like I received a crash course on shirts along with the fantastic service, amazing! Thanks for all your help and the great work, I'll be back!
