I spoke with the owner in great detail about what I wanted, and she seemed enthusiastic about it and I even shared photos of what I’d like. She wasn’t able to share her draft with me so I trusted that she had the ability. I was hopeful, and then I got the cake and it looked rushed/sloppy, and the monkeys honestly looked creepy. The vines and trees are something I could’ve done myself. It just wasn’t a $40 cake, in my opinion. I reached out asking if there was any way to fix it or a partial refund because it’s not even close to the photos I shared with her, but she never responded which I find very unprofessional. This was for my daughters 1st birthday - I ended up putting some 3D monkey stickers over her monkeys because they looked so bad.
I hate to do this, especially when this is a black owned business and the owner was extremely nice.....but honey this cake wasnt any where as great as it looked. This was suppose to be a memorial cake for my late grandmother's birthday. The cake was ordered the day before, they only require 24 hours, and the invoice was paid the day before as well. I ordered a strawberry flavored 8" 2 layer cake, with butter cream icing and fresh fruit. Cake looked amazing, absolutely delicious, but looks were deceiving in this situation. The cake was beyond dry, super dense and tasted NOTHING like strawberry and to top it off the icing was whipped and bland. The best thing about this cake was the fruit on top. At the end of the memorial there were only two pieces eaten, so this was a clear waste of $45. Ms. Moca this was not your finest work, I wish I could've given you a better review but the one star was just for the fruit.
As a last minute request, Ms. Moca made a strawberry shortcake cheesecake cake. My family loved it. I plan on getting my daughter’s birthday this month also. I’m a new and happy customer!!
I ordered this cake with less than 5 days notice. From the moment I reached out to Ms. Pam, she was very responsive and professional. The cake look exactly like the picture I sent to her. The cake is very moist and delicious. You now have a very loyal customer. Thank you so much
I ordered a cake for my friend even while I am from Germany, and it went so much easier than I thought it would go. I got answers back very quick and we settled on a beautiful chocolate cake with strawberry icing. I got a picture and the decorations looked lovely and my friend told me how much she loved the flavor and fawned over how pretty it looked. The price both for the cake and getting it shipped were very reasonable and I was very glad that I came across this bakery. If I ever want to send my friend another cake, I will do it with this bakery.
