I’ve been going to Shanae since I moved to the DMV from NYC and always look forward to the experience. My service is always started on time, and time is taken to address any concerns I may have, or simply talk through a new hairstyle. Shanae has a skillful approach to hair and uses her experience to educate me on product ingredients, hair health, etc. It is so appreciated! Also, I don’t think I’ve ever come here and NOT laughed my socks off. Shane is empathetic, personable and FUNNY. You’ll certainly enjoy your experience.
Love this salon. The decor, the refreshments, happy stylist and wonderful styles and service. Leeah has me looking fabulous every time.
TLDR: New client of Shanae's. I am OBESSED with my new haircut and had an overwhlemingly positve experience at this salon. The staff is talented, warm, and inviting. It had been a few years since I have gotten my hair cut and as I've gotten older, my natural color has gotten really dull. Since I am coming up on 30, I wanted to spruce up my look a bit. I chose Idulge Beauty & Grooming on a whim after comparing the reviews and prices for salons in Silver Spring. I only had a rough idea of what I was looking for, so I booked a consultation to discuss style ideas the same day as my haircut. Shanae was incredibly warm and inviting (In the past, I have had stylists who seem annoyed when I didn't know exactly what I wanted) and was open to teaching me about product and styling techniques while she was doing my hair. She also gave me a crash course on coloring and I am going back in for highlights soon. She clearly loves what she does, takes pride in her work, and shares her passion with her clients. Attached are some before and after photos; the wavey hair was taken the same day as my appointmnet. I don't know how she did it, but she took some vague ideas of what I wanted and turned it into a hairstyle that I LOVE!!!!
Absolutely loved their service. I am very picky about my hair, like very. I was a bit hesitant to go at first because this was my first time going to this salon. However, I fell in love with Shane’s? work. She is amazing and really puts a lot of effort, time and energy on each of her client. It might take a while tho, so be sure to set a good amount of time apart from your schedule while getting your hair done. But don’t doubt her, just go in and try. You won’t regret it.
This salon is my one stop shop for healthy hair! I’ve been a consistent client since about 2016, and I still continue to have great experiences there. Shanae has transitioned my dry locs & itchy scalp to my new carefree short cut with a burst of color that I love. I also had a spot at the top of head that would not grow for some reason, but after using her hair growth oil during treatments and at home, it’s grown out tremendously. All the stylists put the importance of healthy hair first, they aim to please and will have u looking and feeling brand new from head to toe.
