Christian did an amazing job on my son's starter locs today! He was so happy, he said she was very nice and gentle!
I was seen by the Owner Paulette this weekend for a retwist. My original appointment was at 12pm. I received a text to come in earlier, so I made it in by 11:30am and like always the front lobby is empty with no one to be found. After sitting for 15 minutes. She approached me, asked my name and then told me to go sit at shampoo bowl. This was my first time being seen by her due to my original stylist being out on maternity leave. She then put her fingers through my hair and proceeded to ask me in a rude and demeaning tone. “Why is your hair so greasy?” I explained to her that I’m not even 3 months in to my loc journey and that I’d been using water, moisturizing spray and oil. She then proceeded to raise her voice even more telling me that water does nothing for my hair and seemed very annoyed. I get educating people, but there is no need to do it in a condescending and demeaning way.She then washed my hair, put in a treatment and then walked out the front door leaving me at the shampoo bowl. No communication at all. Now for styling. We head back to her suite and we get started. I started asking questions for more tips caring for my baby locs and again Paulette seemed irritated that I was asking questions to gain knowledge about this new journey I’m on. We then sat in silence the whole appt, and when she was finished. She told me you can click the link and confirm your payment. Didn’t even give me a mirror to look at the finish product. Not a thank you, have a good day, thanks for coming in. It’s truly disappointing and sad. I get it, you can do hair. Doesn’t mean you should run your own business. I’m also tired of the bathroom always being disgusting and never having soap or paper towels in it. DO BETTER. Wiping my hands clean of this place. Taking my money elsewhere where it’s appreciated and I get the service I deserve✌🏾
I luv the whole vibe of the salon. Christian is so down to earth and cool. She is prompt and professional. She did such a fabulous job on my retwist that she is now the stylist for my oldest daughter that has locs and she has started my youngest daughter on her loc journey. Christian is officially part of our loc family!!
Great customer service, always greeted with smiles, very informative for someone who may be starting their loc journey, or someone who may have had locs for years. Owner is very hands on and available more often than not. GREAT experience overall!
