I think everyone above said it mostly but everyone here at Kinte is amazing and very nice! Great sense of humor ! This is the only place I’ll be going for a long time! Every hairstyle I’ve requested has been nothing but top of the line performance even with my THICK hair ! I recommend anyone looking for a successful outcome should check Kinte out! I am thankful and blessed for the services you provide!

I recently moved to Dallas. I wasn't having much luck with salons. I went to one salon and I ended up waiting an hour for the stylist. Next appointment she overbooked and didn't get to me at all. I am so thankful for my experience with Mariam and the stylists at Kinte Braids. They were on time and very professional. I have had many compliments on my hair. I am so thankful for the women in this salon! I will definitely return! Kara E.

I've gone to this shop for 3 years for cornrows by D. I liked the braids, but they get shifty on their prices and attempted to overcharge me for the same style I've always paid a certain price for. They went back and forth via text with me about how it's always been this new price they tried to have me pay and I've never paid before in life. They are definitely only about the money and tried to get over on a loyal customer. If you chose to go here, watch them. This was disappointing.

I went about 8 weeks ago and had the absolute best experience. I had my daughter with me (she was 9 almost 10 months at the time) but they welcomed her with no problem as I sat in the chair to get micro Senegalese twists (at least they didn't show that they were annoyed if they were). Anywho, I got there at 4pm on a Friday and it took them 4 hours to finish my head, and I have thick natural hair. I took them down today with ease and minimal shedding. I didn't have chunks of hair coming out or excessive shedding (that's always a big concern because even tho my hair is thick, it's also fine). I could have definitely gone another 4-6 weeks easily, but I typically can't wear a hairstyle for more than 2 weeks lol. They were very polite, professional, and provided quality work. Best braiding shop I've been to in North Dallas. Thank you ladies!! You're awesome! Oh....and there was very little pain after the twists were installed, but the next morning I was fine. No headache or soreness. Better go see them.

I asked for the pic I found on Instagram. I was told to purchase Marley hair. When I informed her I was not happy with my end result I was informed ‘due to the texture of Marley hair, it wasn’t going to look like the picture’ and if I wanted it “smooth like the picture” I should’ve gotten Senegalese twists. I was going to wait the (2) days she asked me ‘sit and think on my hair to try and grow to like it’ but no. I called earlier and simply asked what could we do to fix it? I found knots in the hair which she did undo but when I brought jay up in our conversation she replied “...and I fixed it without saying anything” you’re supposed to be a professional and if you were doing a final sweep/comb through of my hair you clearly saw the knot and choose not to say/do anything about it until I pointed it out. $180 I was charged upfront because I had to go get more hair. I was asked why I didn’t say anything when I had to leave to get more hair. My answer is simple. I thought you still had to to do touch ups and I knew the hair still needed to be dipped but never did I think the final would be the attached photos. My hair looks like I’ve had it in for several weeks and the ends are uneven, some are tapered others are blunt cuts. I also told I could come back to get my hair redone if I still didn’t like it but I would still get charged(half price but still charged non the less). One of the things that bothers me the most is that II felt she wasn’t even trying to hear my concerns as a customer. I was over talked, asked questions as if I was in the wrong for not liking my hair and felt brushed off. I choose this establishment because of the positive reviews and the lovely outcomes in their gallery but on this day with my hair, the ball was dropped and I am extremely disappointed that the customers concerns were brushed off. My hair was literally completed an hour in a half ago and it looks like it’s been in for weeks but she felt it looks fine....what do y’all think?
