Worst therapist I ever had. My fiancé heard about him from a friend and was trying to get some help from him, we need couples therapy so I was trying to go to him to let him know some about me that way we wouldn’t be bias, multiple people told me not to go to him, but I still did hoping he wouldnt be bias, he completely was, judged me the minute I walked in the door, was hostile, made me feel very uncomfortable, trying to find a problem with me so that he can continue to make money off my insurance. I’ve been to therapist before and never in my life have I seen a therapist who was more arrogant than him and just looking for a problem in you, you’ll be talking to him and it goes right in one ear and out the other, he will judge you over detials of your life that happened 10 years ago. I was talking about my past and cried a little bit talking about it and apparently that means your “moody” and then he was gaslighting me all throughout the session when I was trying to express the rest of my life to him, so I was getting a little frustrated and he could tell, and apparently that means you have a “mood disorder” this man new nothing about me and thinks he knows it all and can make a diagnosis off two sessions when he barely lets you talk, and is talking down to you the hole time at that. He was not helpful AT ALL. I’ve been to a therapist before once again and they really helped me, this Man did not. Worst therapist ever, I advise you not go to him. He wanted me to leave during the session becuase I said he makes me feel uncomfortable, and he wanted to label me with all these diagnosis’s when I didn’t even finish two sessions with him. I will be reporting his license to the board of Virginia.
I was miserable… I was suffering from so much mental illness and all they did was direct me to outside resources. When I finally got a spot with one of the counselors, due to outside advocacy, she (the counselor) cancelled several of our meetings. In the end, we only met twice out of what was supposed to be 6 meetings. In the end, these resources were powerfully ineffective for me and I, no matter how hard I tried, could not receive the assistance that I so desperately needed at the time.
So unhelpful. Do are unable to schedule with you because there are too many students. They don’t listen to what you are saying because there is an existing script to follow.
