I had the pleasure of meeting Brandy, touring her practice, seeing her workbooks, and I was blown away! She was such an impressive therapist and person! We instantly clicked and her rapport skills were impressive. I have seen her both waking up early, devoted to her clients and up late at night 10pm we have collaborated to get her client the right help! She goes above and beyond for each and every client that I have seen her work with. My favorite part of brandy is her heart for service. She celebrate victories with her clients and sits with them when life has delivered a Loss; with brandy they are never alone. I have already recommended a family member see her. I trust brandy with my family. Thank you for all you do Brandy, never change.
Brandy is a highly skilled counselor, and my sessions with her proved invaluable to me. She has a very structured and methodical approach, probing and challenging me in areas where I was completely unaware that they were even an issue. The insight and growth I experienced were invaluable and money well spent. Five stars!
I take my emotional and mental health seriously especially as a black woman in today's society. Ms. Brandy has taught me healthier ways to process my past and current problems(trauma) so that I can be a better person, daughter, and friend. It's an daily effort. I know that one day my battles will inspire someone else who can relate, seek the help that they need as well. She gives it to you real and uncut. Plus she's a Christian! I think everyone should experience therapy. Ask yourself what more do I have to lose?
This is by far the worse counseling and review I've had to give. Day one I poured my heart out sharing things with Brandi that I hadn't verbally shared with anyone on DAY 1.... day 2 the very next day she changed my session to virtual instead of in person. We had technical issues getting connected, she asked me where I was, who I'm with and began to ask a million of questions regarding my past history. At that time I was not open to answering all this questions being that I had just uncovered a lot of wounds. I stated I did not want to answer the questions and Brandi suggested that we end the session. She began to get hostile and told me that I would have to self pay for that session because she couldn't bill my insurance being that it was not a full session. I suggested we stay in session because I would not be able to pay, and I was not saying I needed to end session. She told me she was ending and I would have to take it up with headway, her billing department. They have since been trying to charge me... she canceled all my other appointments with her and ended treatment all because I did not want to answer the questions asked at that time. She's is very unprofessional and inconsiderate of others feelings especially those with the amount of trauma I've experienced and shared! I really can't believe I received this treatment!!! Brandi sent me discharge papers 5 days later after my initial review with falsifying information on there to defend her reasoning for discharge when she in fact asked me if I wanted her to cancel all further appointments. I would not recommend this therapist to ANYONE!!! This is something that should not happen in therapy. If I could, I would like to prevent anyone else from receiving the treatment I received.
I found Brandy to be very unprofessional when dealing with clients. I would not recommend her as she came across very selfish and lacked understanding of how to properly handle tough situations. In my experience with her she was invalidating of feelings, emotionally reactive, and at times even gaslit me. It seems that there was an influx of five star reviews after a one star review. I would be very cautious of her as a licensed professional and explore other options.
