Jeremiah is the man!! Came to the shop with an absolute mess, hair to the shoulders, no real idea what I wanted but Jeremiah is out here doing the lords work! The whole experience was great, the cut, the convo, the vibes, it was immaculate. Best Barber and Barbershop I've ever been to! Will be back for sure.
I had been going to FWB for three years until I found out that their missed appointment policy was that they would charge you the entire $35 service fee. I missed my appointment which was the last one of the day and called up first thing in the morning to apologize and ask if they could squeeze me in this week. They agreed and I was thankful at first not realizing that they simply booked me the next available slot and that no part of the $35 that I had ALREADY PAID could be put towards my cut. In all with tip my last haircut here cost me $80 for a basic 15 minute men’s cut that was mostly done with a buzz. The manager explained over email that this is apparently the only way they can run this business. I’m failing to understand how there’s no reasonable amount between $0 and $35 to charge as a fee to someone who has been coming here for three years and has spent almost a thousand dollars here and regularly tips the barbers 25%. I’d be more likely to believe it if the next available slot was a month out like it used to be. But nowadays this place has loads of availability over the next couple of days. I suspect the poor service and revolving door of stylists lately may be driving good customers like myself away. Make your home elsewhere if you’re looking for a barber. The building here is cool and the music is nice, but expect to be treated like a stranger.
Jeremiah Dears is the GOAT, great person to talk to while sitting on the chair and an even greater barber. Plus, the barber shop aesthetic is dope and the tunes are sweet. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
The haircut was good but getting in to get a haircut is way to hard and you usually have to wait a week out. Plus, they make you put your card down to set up an appointment? Makes no sense. I’ll just go somewhere else.
This shop on the corner of Montgomery and Lovell is terrific. The shop is big and bright with plenty of seating and 5 chairs for haircuts. The price is high but so is the quality. I was able to get an appointment with Oscar, which is challenging as he is superb at what he does. He took his time to find out what I wanted and engaged in friendly discussion while cutting. He took care to get everything the way I wanted it. Make an appointment because although they take walk-ins you need to get lucky as all of the barbers in the shop, all three were busy during my entire time in the chair.
