—- Read in its entirety——- Update: You can see below my initial review, which I meant before realizing how improperly my hair was done after leaving the salon. I based my review on the size and neatness of the front of my head. I have included photos below to show how big a difference in sizes my hair was braided. The size in the front was what I requested and agreed upon. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the owner, who was very apologetic and agreed to re-do it the next day. I appreciated the accommodation. The person who braided the back of my hair, unfortunately was not apologetic. She doubled down on her poor behavior and attitude. While working on it, she was being unnecessarily aggressive with the positioning of my head. She kept complaining that the size was impossible to match with the front. I can’t understand that, simply because you are supposed to be the professional therefore you should do what the customer requests and nothing else. To the owner, she is a reflection of your business. This is poor business practice. Abhorrent, to say the least. You can’t treat your customers poorly and then expect them to come back again. In addition, if either the owner or the lady who braided the front of my hair was aware of how big the back was being done and did not immediately correct it, then that is just bad. Thanks to the owner for being kind. But no thanks for the dissatisfactory service, at best. And you as the customer, when you read the reviews, you will see a common trend. The ladies are very nice but the work they do is not the best. I chose to ignore this and I’m now suffering the consequences. ——————————————————————— They were very nice to me. Great experience and excellent customer service! Boho braids turned out beautiful! Modification: I texted the owner this morning around 8am and received no response. So I’m modifying this review regard what has taken place. I just came back from vacation and had limited access to internet so I was not able to message right away, but I got the boho braids done at this shop shop and although they looked beautiful. They shed like crazy. I wasn't able to wear my hair down because it shed so much. From the 1st day I got my hair braided. I was advised after they put moose on it they shedding would minimize, but has not. Literally just comes out out in clumps. This is the boho braids with synthetic braid hair and virgin human hair on sale. I had to buy the human hair separately. This needs to be rectified, because I did not spend almost $300 getting my hair done just to wear it in a bun. $220 for the style, $30 tip, and 50-60 for the extra hair.
I went here for knotless braids with human curly hair throughout and it looked okay. I asked several times when I called and also when a arrived about the hairstyle I had in mind and I really wish they would’ve just told me they couldn’t do it. The very next day a few of the curly pieces fell out I called and got an appointment to get it fixed which was the day before yesterday and today 3 pieces fell out again or are lose. I’ve had these braids before and that’s never happened to me and this is only my second week with the braids and it’s been stressful and the reason I even got braids was for my trip next week and now I have to take it down because it’s not looking the way it should and pieces keep falling out. Please in the future when someone is asking for a style and you’re unsure let them know. I know you said that this has been highly requested and you’ve done them a lot but there’s no way I should have this many issues I have school and work and I live in Fort Worth so I can’t come every few days when I shouldn’t even have to worry about anything until maybe a month of having them not a week and a half.
I always come here to get me and my daughter’s hair braided. The ladies always do an amazing job. Braids are always done nice and neatly. There is no other braiding salon that I will go to to get our hair done other than Divine Touch African Hair Braiding. Thank you so much!!!!
I got my hair done here for the first time and LOVE IT!!! I got knotless braids with color 30. They are so neat and perfect for my vacation!! Everyone was so nice in the shop. The only thing I took a star off for is the price was confusing. I was told that my waist length small/ medium braids would be $250 with hair over the phone when I booked. However when I got there the lady told me it would be $270 for the length I would be getting. I was like 250 is with the hair right? But I’m not sure if there’s miscommunication on the prices. Anyway love the braids!!! I’ll be back for sure just will get better understanding of price before sitting in the chair! Thank you so much!!!
