I had a wonderful time with Imani, not only did the hairstyle come out exactly the way I wanted it to; she was so easy to talk to! The studio is small but makes ot less intimidating, more cozy!! She was professional yet could relate to you on a personal level. Reasonably priced. I loved how she explained what she was doing, and why she was using certain products, as well her history with hairstyling. Loved having my hair done by her :) definitely go again.
My son had an appointment with Imani to better learn how to appreciate, take care of and maintain his own hair. It was an excellent and educational experience. She spent a lot of time putting together the specific products and tools he would need, patiently walked him through how to use each item and even played some of his favorite music in the background to create a great experience for him. He loves his new twists. In his own words, he "felt like a King!"
I visited Essence of Ebony for a consultation and an appointment. Imani is the definition of professional. She truly cares, and goes above and beyond to provide a great experience. As a Black man who was born and raised in Utah it was difficult to find resources to help me take care of my hair as I grew it out. So I kept it short. Imani has the education and experience that I was hoping for and educated me so much throughout the process. She’s also super friendly and funny 😄 I would highly recommend setting up a consultation, at the very least, if you feel you could benefit from her expert knowledge and experience. Thanks Imani!
Imani, was exceptional the first time I visited her and has kept that standard ever since. She was very consultative in helping me decide how I wanted my hair to look. She was also very instructional on how to care for my hair after my appointment. She even went on to check on me later that day and the following week. If your looking to her your hair locked or get any of the services she offers, I would 100% recommend.
Imani is amazing at her craft. For my very first braiding session she made me feel comfortable and relaxed. She provided me with a consultation first so she could meet my needs and provide me guidance. I highly recommend her to everyone!
