Very disappointed with my experience. This place might have once been amazing, but it is now falling apart. About hair experience: I was going to get a style I had never done before and I called the salon prior to my appointment to ask how I should prep my hair. The first person on the phone sounded uncertain, so I asked them to put someone else on the phone that could answer. The next person gave me very little to no direction and said I could come in with my natural hair but with little to no product. Okay, I said. Well the day of my appointment I was told my hair should have been blown out and that it would be a problem. The person doing my hair complained the whole time about it and tried to do the least amount of work and rushed it. It looked nothing like the pictures I had sent to them of the style I wanted. I was charged an exuberant amount for it, even though, I had paid a deposit and was quoted a different price. The salon experience: The chairs are way lower than mirrors, so you can’t see the progress on your style. The owner shows up much later and there is no receptionist, so the phone rings off the hook. The stylists, I learned, are not from the area and fly in and out, and so they don’t have the care and pride of forming a relationship with the customers. I witnessed a fellow customer wait 30 mins while her stylist was outside on the phone, and once returned to the customer, the customer felt like she needed to apologize for pulling them away from the call! The stylist answer was “it’s ok”. 🤨😠 Outrageous! It’s especially disappointing that a black owned business (there are not many in this state) is conducting itself like this. I love supporting my community but this was not it.
Saadiq did a very good job with my sons hair. Coming from a place where his hair wasn’t maintain appropriately and being with us we can see the difference. We also loved the atmosphere Euphoric Hair Experience had. We will be back!!
Kenya did a superbly amazing job maintaining and retwisting my locs! Plus, the business has such chill vibes— and all of the employees (and owner) were extremely friendly, accommodating and welcoming. Highly recommended!
The shop is clean, professional and welcoming. Kayla made sure we were happy with the color& length and did a great job! highly recommended, will be back
So amazing to have such an awesome and affirming salon here in Vermont! Kenya was amazing with our daughter and I’ve never seen our daughter so excited to have her hair braided!
