Just got my braids done(specifically 2 cornrows for my Frohawk shaped growth ) pretty basic but I was surprised on how much quality came with that request. From the careful detangling - To the braiding and detailing itself. Nothing I've got from anyone else(at least when I used to go to salons) was that detailed! Before starting the braid she made sure to confirm with me with a mirror to make sure the part was straight down the middle. She made sure my hair was moisturized every place it could be. During this I was offered snacks which also shocked me. Lastly I was put under a blow-dryer for a bit till my hair was dry and that concluded the business. 100% professionalism and the price was way more reasonable than I expected for all that they did. I will definitely come back for more complicated styles and stuff even my own folks cant even do. If you're looking for a trustworthy salon, this is it!
Excellent service and such nice ladies! I went there last minute for some box braids and they took me right away. Everyone has been complimenting my hair! Can’t wait to go back! A bit pricey but highly recommended if you wanna treat yourself. 🤩
I got small waist-length knotless braids from Chel’s and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I have never had my hair braided before but I was impressed from the beginning with the clear and consistent communication before my appointment. I was offered snacks and something to drink and found the environment to be calm, friendly, and clean. The braiders were efficient and highly-skilled, and while I’m tender-headed, I wasn’t in any pain. I love my braids and have already gotten so many compliments since getting them! There are so many horror stories with braiders, but you won’t find any of those challenges at Chel’s.
Chel's is my favorite braid salon. I have been coming here for years and the customer service, professionalism, attention to detail has never wavered. I've had different styles (crochet braids, twists, box braids) and my hair always looks amazing. I have very fine hair and I'm tender-headed. Ms. Sylvia is always gentle. The salon is very clean and all of the ladies are nice.
My daughter had a wonderful first experience at Chel’s. We were able to get an appointment the next day. I had somewhere to be, so I was able to drop off my daughter and pick her up when she was done. The owner recommended the right braid style to accommodate my daughter’s hair texture. Great communication, great customer service and my daughter is happy with her braids.
