Dotun and his team went above and beyond for our day. They worked so seemly with the rest of our vendors and we’re extremely accommodating to our needs. When I walked into our reception hall I was just amazed at the beauty and the ambiance that they were able to create. We were truly lucky and blessed to have been able to work with them. If you want a production company that not only knows their job but also one that will stop at nothing to make sure that your vision is executed, then LightSource company is the way to go. Dotun you have a customer for life in me. Thank you for your time, passion, and gift for making the impossible POSSIBLE!!!
Look no further than The Light Source Company for lovely photography sets, videography spaces, and backdrops in the DMV!! They have a wide range of sets that are stunning and versatile. I highly recommend them!
I’m disappointed in my experience with The Light Source. I booked with them in 2019 but my event was 2021 due to COVID. We had a brief conversation the week of my event to review the design for my floor wrap, the tone I received was way off, he was so rude to me; this was our one and only communication. I quickly started praying because that’s when I knew something was off. What he was rude to me about was insignificant, I preferred the initials on the dance floor to be pink and he was carried away explaining the difference between gold and shiny gold. He told me “he doesn’t know I want an upscale version unless I tell him…” but I never told him that was what I wanted I had never spoken to him before we just selected a package and booked. The day of my event we had to start hours last because the light source was not prepared mind you my venue was 4.5 miles away from their location provided on google. When they came to lay down the floor wrap to cover the space between the carpet and the dance floor it was like they dropped it on the floor and walked away. The white couch was dirty with foot prints everywhere like it was in a warehouse and they dragged it out and just placed it on the stage after they walked all over it. The drapes were put up but not dusted or straighten out evenly it was just put up and they walked away. I was very upset when I opened my eyes for the reveal and noticed everything, after spending $12K with just the light source I was expecting professionalism and attention to detail. There was no apology or formal greeting after causing us to start late, they just took our money and left us with scraps (dirty uneven drapes, dirty couch, dirty stage and uneven dance floor) it wasn’t the experience I’ve seen others have, if I could do it again I wouldn’t have gone with this company. Do you research well and ask all the questions you can think of before booking and double check your question prior to your event. I would even have them fix what’s wrong the day of so you don’t look back at pictures with disappointment. I added photos but some are screenshots from videos the photo of the couch is a screenshot the footprints and dirt were worst in person.
Hiring Lightsource for my wedding was one of the best decisions I made! From the time I reached out to them until my big day, Lightsource worked with my planner and I to ensure my vision came to life. They transformed my venue into a “BREATHTAKING” ballroom (before and after pictures attached)!!! I am truly grateful for all the ideas/changes Lightsource suggested and made to my venue. Their time, efforts and dedication throughout the whole process was astonishing.Their professionalism was beyond amazing. Do yourself a favor and hire Lightsource for your next event!!
The light source is the BEST! Not only is the light source so incredibly talented, but they are also so nice, responsive & organized. The light source responded so quickly to many questions both via email & Instagram. We used them for lighting, drapery, stages, aisle runner, & dance floor wrapping - all were PERFECT! They have an incredible lighting team that stays during the ceremony/reception & changes lighting through out the night. Their dance floors with reflective gold are gorgeous and truly make the wedding. The white vinyl aisle runner was also great in photos. They can really turn any room into a stunning venue. Highly recommend!
