How could we have never tried Land of Kush before? Our first visit, definitely not our last. We ordered vegan crab cakes (so delicious!), jollof rice (perfectly seasoned—and bonus—made with brown rice), collard greens (amazing), chickpea burger (thick and savory) and the cucumber and tomato salad (refreshing with a great light dressing). Portions are generous, prices very reasonable, service was great and very friendly, and we loved the low-key, authentic-feeling atmosphere. Also appreciated that there seemed to be very little oil used in the preparation of our food (none in the greens)—it was delicious and healthy! Can’t wait to go back.

Driving a whole hour to this restuarant I can say the wifey and I were very pleased. Very first time trying this restuarant and everything was well cooked and tasteful. We ordered the chickun curry platter and the barbecue rib platter, with candied yams, collar greens, and Mac and cheese. The server delivered the order withing 10 minutes. Food was so good we ordered two extra entrees to bring back to Frederick with us. The Vegan options are endless. Drinks are great as well. Cold pressed for sure.

This was my first vegan experience and I have to say...I didnt know what to expect. My neice chose here for her birthday lunch. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted with smiles, suggestions, samples and the atmosphere was a vibe. I ordered the ribs, collard greens and yams. My neice ordered the crab cake, macncheese and yams. I tasted the curry cabbage, unfortunately a lil too spicy for my liking, but if you like spice...order them! The food overall was cold, would've been better if warmed. I didn't like the texture of the ribs, however the sauce was tasty. My neice enjoyed her crab cake, but the macncheese not so much. The yams were good and sweet. They could've almost past for a desert. The leomade was refreshing. This place wasn't my cup of tea, however, my neice loved it.

This was my family’s first time in. The manager made sure we sampled the food to make sure we knew what we were getting. The portions were generous and my children loved everything also. We ordered greens, cabbage, sweet potatoes, Jollof rice, ribs, lentil patties, a smoothie, and ginger drink. There were enough items without soy for those that are sensitive to soy also. The customer service was authentic and caring. That’s rare these days. The next time we’re able to stop in Baltimore, we will be back. (I forgot to take pictures of all of the food before we ate it.)

Vegetarian and Vegan soul food restaurant with a wide array of tasty options. I have not had an opportunity to try the food here, but went into the establishment for other business reasons. The staff was very pleasant! … I don’t consider myself Vegetarian or Vegan, but the kind and friendly demeanor of the staff and the tasty look of the food makes me want to come back and give it a try!… based on other reviews of the cuisine, if you are looking for a vegan/ vegetarian spot, The Land of Kush seems like a must-try if in the Baltimore area!… Street and metered parking.
