Visited this establishment on 7/22/2023, waited 15mins for my food, which baffled my mind considering the chicken wings were already cooked & my sides were also clearly precooked (except the forgot to cook the potatoes for the salad) I had to pick through the chicken wings bc they were stale and dry, the mac and cheese was awful! It tasted like they need a box or two of baking soda in their fridge, it was nasty and old! Greens had more stems than actual leaves. Potato salad had RAW potatoes in it. Extremely disgusting!! Reached out to the owner via email to privately inform him of the quality of food. He never responded, completely ignored my concerns. If he doesn’t care why should I? So here’s my PUBLIC review! Spending over $55 for two FIVE wing dinners is insane in today’s economic disaster, especially when it taste like trash! Do yourself a favor, don’t waste your time or money on this restaurant! Go support another local business where they care about and appreciate their customers experience, money and time. This place ain’t it.
I love to drop in for sweet tea & dessert. They have real extra sweet sweet tea in rotating flavors and amazing desserts. The blueberry cake has been my favorite so far. The music, art and people are really welcoming and jazzy. Definitely stay to eat when you can. Mist items can be baked, stewed, fried and or blacked. So its great for picky and adventurous eaters. I love the fish & wings combo. And they have a good hot sauce collection to shake on top. Side portions are big enough to split an entree between 2 adults or have leftovers.
I love receiving hot, fresh Catfish. Fried to perfection with some good hot sauce. Great southern style food. I love the scenery with legendary southern blues artists. The cashier was friendly and he brought my To-Go food over to my table. Great service!
Best soul food I had in a while. Highly recommend!! I ordered turkey wing dinner and I was beyond satisfied. The potato salad was amazing too! I wasn’t a fan of the sweet potato pie but everything else was delicious! I went back a second time and it was just as good. The staff were helpful as well.
My dad, mom and I tried this restaurant for the first time and I ordered the catfish with a side of Mac & cheese and french fries. I personally thought the food was pretty good. Everything was cooked perfectly, the catfish was moist on the inside crispy on the edges, french fries were warm and fried well, and the Mac & cheese was good enough. I wouldn't say this place is one of my favorite restaurants but, from what I ate they do make some pretty good soul food.
