My daughter had her hair done this morning and I am always happy with the results. I also get my hair braided from time to time as well. Staff is pleasant and ALWAYS on time! My daughter had an early am appointment and her stylist called me to let me know she was 5 minutes behind in which I appreciate. We live in Waldorf now and we make the commute because of the great service!
I take my daughters here regularly. My girls always love there experience and look forward to each trip there. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is organized and clean. The salon usually has a kids movie on so that the children are entertained while getting their hair braided. So happy we found this place! 5 Stars for sure.
Extremely pleased with everything about the salon. This was my 3 year old daughter's first time.... and as soon as it was time to go back, my daughter seemed nervous and ran back to me. The stylist gently grabbed her hand and as she walked back with her, she said "Everyone, say Hi Harper" 🙂 That warmed my heart just making her feel comfortable! Her hair looked great and we booked for another two weeks! 🙂
Ms. Aja (owner) and her stylist are very professional, always on time. My daughters (7) & 4 years old love coming here. My youngest daughter was very tender headed. Ms. Aja is like the baby whisper for small kids. She makes them feel comfortable & she no longer cries when she gets her hair done. Ms. Breana is also very gentle, & the kids love her! Do me a favor & bring your kids here. I even have started getting my hair done as well. In & out in less than two hours for all 3 of us.
Ms. Aja very professional and the establishment was clean and well organized. I was hoping for a better outcome because we were in search for new salon. The experience was not good being our 1st time there. The quality of the braiding for my young adult was not good, there is absolutely not good that I can say. I am so very disappointed. The service was for small knotless braids ($265). The braids appear to be medium for my standards, however Ms. Aja explained that different salon have different version of what they consider as small braids; didn't know that was a thing; so I will definitely start asking any salon what is their definition of small braids. I may experience over the years when you getting individual braids the parting of the hair are box; maybe there are different takes on parting also. The parting of the hair was all over the place. I provided pre-stretched hair, why did the stylist feel it was necessary to cut the hair. I am thoroughly confused by this. The description of the service states that braids pass the waist would be an additional charge. I make this point because she wanted her braids to come to her waist, however the stylist never asked and it's nowhere near her waist in length. I can't imagine that she is a professional braider based on the outcome of my daughter's hair. The 3rd picture was my expected outcome just a little shorter. I have no issue with paying for good customer service and quality work. Our last braider had quality work but poor customer service and I refuse to continue to pay someone that has no customer service, I don't care how great the work is. Ms. Aja has great customer service but the quality of work by this stylist was unacceptable. My daughter will be off to college to start her freshman in a few days, she already very nervous about this transition and this experience has just added to it. She is very unhappy with her hair. She will be taking her hair out in hopes to find a braider in NYC.
