I’ve been patronizing Root and Mane for the past year and Iye is an excellent stylist. I’ve gotten keratin treatments, tapes extensions, blowouts, cuts and body waxing just to name a few. She does an excellent job at taking care of my natural hair and has helped the edge of my hairline to grow back full. I always receive compliments on how natural and healthy my hair looks and her styles last. I highly recommend Iye and I send my children to her as well.
Over 10+Yrs of straight PERFECTION 💫 Iye is hands down a perfectionist!!!! and will go above and beyond to create the desired look you’re going for. She is equally talented in Waxing, Extensions, Braid styles, hair color and Natural hair styling(tried to attach photos of each . One thing I appreciate is how educated she is in haircare and a TRUE professional she has styled me while she was 8months pregnant TWICE and w/ precision and care ! you just don’t see that dedication with other hairstylists anymore. I have gotten virtually every hair service imaginable at R&M and even tried tape ins (pictured) with her this year and have added that as my newest favorite style as the versatile is immaculate 🤩 also tired invisible locks which were a 10/10! I do know a bit about self styling but whenever I’m not doing my own hair I go to her for a cleaner look and have never been disappointed she has great things ahead of her in the beauty industry and I’m just happy I can get an appointment in w/ her before she soars 😭❤️ Thanks again Hon !
I found Root & Mane via Instagram-sponsored ads in the Fall of 2021, and out of all the hair salons I've either gone to or researched, this was the only salon that offered a "Braid Take-down" service. For me, this was a game changer since I have a physical ailment that makes it difficult for me to maintain my hair. Iye, the lead stylist and owner, is a true beautician! I can appreciate a true professional who not only educates their clients about proper hair care but ensures that they have their best interests at heart. Since my first visit to this salon, my hair has grown tremendously and is the healthiest it's ever been in a long time! 10/10 would recommend 👌🏽
Iye is the best in the area! I’ve been a client for about 5 years. She’s is always very professional and friendly. She’s very knowledgable about hair health as well as the current trends in hair styling. Over the years I’ve seen her evolve and expand Root & Mane and the services she offers. Not only can you get your hair done, but you can also get a variety of wax services as well! I’m happy to be a client and will definitely recommend Iye and Root & Mane to any and everyone!
I had a great experience at Root & Mane and Iye is a wonderful woman. I was late due to traffic and was still done my hair in about 4.5-5 hours and this included her rewashing my hair and blow drying (I have a tapered cut). I got medium knotless waist length braids. I'm natural and hadn't had braids in a long time. I continue to get compliments on them. I will definitely go back next time I want braids. Highly recommend.
