Wonderful food and even better waitresses, a fantastic upscale dinner spot. Loved the braised rabbit pappardelle and the vegan pot pie. The brisket and bone marrow mac and cheese was a delicious appetizer. Great drinks as well, and a tasty brownie dessert. Will return!
Outstanding restaurant full of charm and outstanding food. Started with a craft cocktail that was just right. Then moved onto the crabby deviled eggs that had a good flare of heat(spice) and a lot of crab to boot. The confit wings were fire!! Good flavor and meaty!! Next came the smoked brisket with collard greens and biscuits. The flavor of all confirmed why they were recently voted one of the best local restaurants. Ended with a delicious blueberry hand pie with vanilla ice cream that made me seek out the waitress and bow for suggesting I leave room. Two big thumbs up! I look forward to another visit in the future. Keep on!! Did I mention the awesome art work and incredibly friendly staff.
As a wedding photographer I love love loved this as an intimate wedding venue! The outdoor ceremony and reception option coupled with indoor cocktail hour and dancing was the perfect combination for a free flowing and breezy wedding day. Can't wait for another couple to go back!
I have visited twice: once for brunch and the other for a later night wine and appetizer. Both visits were met with kind staff, impeccable service, and unexpectedly delicious food! I have tried the fried green tomatoes, the GLT, the brisket Mac&cheese, the deviled eggs, and the Pennroyal salad! (The GLT is painfully delicious!) The ambiance is decidedly eclectic—lots of southern charm…whiskey in a tea cup vibe. Highly recommended!
A neighborhood gem describes this restaurant. Sit in the front room with the bar and chairs and have a view of everyone coming in the door in a big airy space. Or you can decide to sit in the back to have a more intimate experience. All of the food was excellent! The brisket platter was very plentiful for the price. Everything was perfectly seasoned. The service was very attentive and I didn't have any complaints there. I will be back to take advantage of their plentiful outdoor seating and to sample a few of their drinks.
