AMAZING!! The BEST shrimp and grits I’ve ever tasted!! 😋No one makes it better!! This was a special menu item and I ordered it all weekend! It’s so good. Everything is seasoned and cooked to perfection!! I order something new here every week. Try the shrimp and grits. PLEASE!
Food was soooooo good! I got the fried catfish, Mac and cheese and potato salad!! Will def go back for sure! Also get the mango lemonade!
First time ordering from this place. I can say they cook with love. The chicken I had was juicy and with the good amount of seasoning. Mac and cheese was on point. Potato salad was delicious, cole slaw, cornbread perfect combination. I recommend you order from this place. You won’t be disappointed.
The food was overall, very good! You know you’ve found a good soul food restaurant when the coleslaw is good! Lol!! We thoroughly enjoyed the carry out today. Well, I’ll be honest, the ribs were excellent! The hot honey glazed wings were excellent! The coleslaw was so good! The greens were FULL of flavor! The macaroni…ehh, maybe I caught them on a bad day - it had zero flavor. But, these things happen when people are cooking authentically, so it won’t stop me from returning. Great food! Kind service! TRY IT!! You won’t be disappointed!!
If you’ve recently moved to the area and maybe are alone and someone from home asks, “when is the last time you had a home cooked meal?” - go here if you haven’t had one yet. My pictures don’t do it justice but this is honestly some of the best food I have ever had. Black-owned, family business and absolutely delicious. I always eat my food before taking pictures which is how good this place is. Order early, they sell out through the day. As somewhat of a new resident here, please be kind to this business. People get upset or frustrated when people run out of things or food takes longer than expected to make. Family has always been kind and puts their effort in everyday and it shows. Would love to see them expand and become a staple in our part of town. Open only Friday - Sunday. Put in an order quick!
