MSDC is absolutely amazing. My daughter is 5 and this was her second year there and she loves it, and her father and I are just as pleased. It fosters a sense of confidence, community, pride, dedication and so many more things. She has made so many friends here along the way. I plan on keeping her thriving here as long as I can. Ms. Donna, Ms. Pat and Ms. Julianna are amazing, as are the teachers she had this year, Ms. Morgan and Ms. Jewel. It's an overall outstanding dance center.
I did a tour this weekend with my daughter and it was fabulous. I was greeted by Mrs. Pat, Mrs. Julianna and Mrs. Donner the school director. The school director is very personable, professional, down to earth and knowledgeable about professional dancing. Everyone including the students were so nice and kind to us. MORTON STREET DANCE CENTER is culturally and racially diverse and They have been around for 30 years. They have some great programs and activities for all ages. They even have summer school and after school programs that you can sign up for right now. Ask for a tour to see if its a good fit for you and your family members.
I absolutely love MSDC! I am a (very) beginner adult dancer relatively new to Baltimore and have been attending classes at MSDC for the past 6 months. I have had such a positive experience. The adult ballet classes with Marina are incredible- They are paced perfectly, she gives multiple options for each move for beginners, mid-level, and experienced dancers, and is always providing helpful feedback to each individual. I've also taken the modern class with Algernon a couple times and that is always fun and intense as well. Also, I am always able to get in contact with MSDC via email or phone as needed. I usually talk to Julianna and she is always helpful. As long as I live in Baltimore, I will continue to come here and I highly recommend it to anyone else who loves to dance!
Our daughter has been dancing with Morton Street for over 4 years. We’re happy to have found a “home” for her development as a dancer, and we’re also thrilled with the growth we’ve seen in her confidence as well. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and professional and they are intentional in providing the support and encouragement a growing dancer and adolescent need to blossom. And the wide range of dance styles, repertory groups, performance engagements, intensives and camps offered provide lots of opportunities for dancers to thrive. We tried out several studios in our quest to find the right fit for our daughter, and we believe that MSDC is by far the BEST dance studio in Baltimore!
Morton Street Dance Center has been a home to so many students and staff alike over the years. The faculty take time to develop not only a dancers technique and performance ability but also invests time to know and understand who each dancer is. The studio is welcoming to all ages and abilities. MSDC positions dancers to reach professional careers in dance and theatre and remains the most welcoming studio in the area. Morton Street offers many styles of dance and takes pride in the quality of work they produce. The teachers are highly trained and come from an extensive background offering top quality instruction to each student. This is truly a studio that embraces friendship and family.
