NEVER booking here again. Not only did they sneak into my party and eat the food that we were serving. When my mother caught them and told them to leave, they spit the food on her and ran away. Money that we agreed on wasn't the same. THIEVES! Rude customer service. Kept barking every time I tried to say something she didn't agree with.
This place would have so much potential but unfortunately…they steal your money. For one communication was terrible. I had to hunt the owner down and send many emails just to make sure everything was set for my mothers birthday celebration. The day of event, there was a leak and water everywhere. It was also freezing (we booked the penthouse). The party was in December 2023. Here we are in May almost June and no deposit. I’ve asked about my deposit several times and my emails have been ignored. Please do not book here!
I/O spaces is a very welcoming and delightful place to be in. I was impressed by the space they are able to have practically downtown Silver Spring (Maryland). The Space has different rooms and areas for different needs : the open space, the conference room, offices for groups, and more. There is even a vending machine with all kinds of snacks for the workaholics who are too busy to step out to eat. Definitely a space to check out.
Very disappointed. They got just about everything wrong. I was promised the space would be ready and arranged per my drawn diagram and it never happened. In addition. The space wasn't clean, there were roaches in the kitchen and ants crawling on my cake downstairs. The power went out for 30m. We were appalled by this whole experience. No remedy or apology ever received. Bad customer service, and at these prices they ought to be roll out a red carpet. I'll never use or refer them again.
DO NOT host an event here. While planning an event, we set upon an agreed upon price and halfway through booking they tried to upcharge me hundreds of dollars extra on account of "renovations". After going back and forth quite a bit, they agreed upon the original price and everything was fine until the day of the event (my high school graduation party). On the day of the event the manager (or person in charge, I'm not sure), Mr. Leslie Tita, followed my mother and I around while we were busy and stressed setting up asking again and again for a card to pay a security deposit with, which was never mentioned before. Finally I gave him my debit card, as it felt he was relentlessly harassing us and i just paid the deposit. The event was almost 6 months ago, and I have yet to receive my $300 deposit back despite leaving the hall in clean and pristine condition. Every attempt to get in contact with them through email or phone call goes unanswered or gets hung up on. Would never ever host another event here, and I would recommend the same for anyone else! I am not a person who ever leaves reviews, but I felt the need to as they essentially stole $300 from an 18 year old going to college.
