Great service and a very knowledgeable staff. Love the fact that I had one question: do you carry Wagyu and the answer was yes. As with special cuts and different meat, they ask to call ahead by several days to see if they (1) still have it and if not (2) they can order it.
It’s so nice to have a butcher who knows what they’re talking about in town!! My wife and I came here not knowing too much about the differences between different types of steaks. The associates were very knowledgeable and helped us pick out the best steaks for our budget and cooking type. Really grateful their in the neighborhood!
Favorite place around! Truly exceptional options in there...and impeccably aged (some get to deep purple like a fine steakhouse). SO many animal types and different cuts. Don't sleep on the freezer cases either! Their dogs and sausages are great...but the freezers sometimes have EXCELLENT things like beef cheeks (pot roast some of those and throw it on some mini corn tortillas for tacos de cabeza) or venison products even wild boar!
I asked for 4 filet mignon. While they were prepping them, I over heard that the card machine wasn't working, which had happened before. I went to the grocery store to use the ATM, came back paid and left. Got home, opened the bag to see 4 ribeye labeled as filet mignon. First issue here after a handful of visits, so not sure what happened.
Wow, what a difference! This place is great, but something has changed for the better. I recall going in here about 3 to 4 years ago, maybe longer. The people at the counter were very abrupt, and short. Almost as though "you should have known all about meat before you stepped foot in the store". The prices also seemed high. But now! Wow! What a great experience. Sarah was super nice, explained a lot of things, told us about some amazing offers they have (such as actually preparing some of the meats for you) and a good price on tuna. They were also kind of slow soaybe that helped. I'm wondering if during busy times they need an express "I know what I want just give it to me lane" and then one person answering all the questions for noobs. Anyway, if you haven't been in there in a while, give it a retry, from Tuna to beef, to sausage, this place is looking like it will be on my highly frequented places.
