I started patronizing this salon in 2019 after a few of managing hair loss through my dermatologist. I received hair restoration services and vital education on my scalp conditions. The service is awesome! After I believe it was a eighteen month program or so my hair was much healthier, fuller and l felt equipped to better understand how to manage my hair loss conditions. It’s truly a full-service salon. You can expect pleasant, inviting and professional service every time!
Had a great experience with Kristall. I was looking for a hair professional who was knowledgeable and careful with natural hair, especially since I wanted an overall color change. She was able to accommodate me last minute and took her time with my hair. • UPDATE: This was the first time I let a hair professional in my natural hair. 9 years of growth was destroyed in one salon visit and I am utterly mortified. After my initial appointment with Kristall I kept my hair in the straight state for about ten days. I dont own any heated styling appliances for my hair, so I wrapped it each night to maintain the straight look. I was surprised at how straight my hair stayed for such a long period of time and I began questioning the health of my hair. I contacted Kristall after I finally washed it and realized the intense damage my hair presented. She stated that she used a special taming product that was very efficient in keeping hair straight and would require 3-4 washes for my curls to revert back. I was apprehensive about this because I only remember her spraying a product on the back of my head, nothing touched my edges and those were pin straight after I washed and deep conditioned my damaged hair. I have since applied my usual natural hair products and my hair doesn't even act the same as before. It is stringy on the ends, curls in the middle loosened and roots are straight. I dont believe that the color did this to my hair because as you can see from the pictures, my hair had its curl pattern immediately after she washed the color out. I have seen another professional and they have confirmed that this is blatant heat damage. I am upset, annoyed, and now regretting having gone to her salon. This is not the first time I have straightened my hair. Usually I do it myself without any issues or complications. I just decided to go to a professional this time because I wanted to make sure I colored my hair without inflicting any damage. It's unfortunate that this is the result and now I am considering cutting my hair off because I now have to relearn how to care for hair that feels like an botched perm. From my experience, I would not recommend coming here for the services I received.
Kristal is an amazing gem! I don’t know where my hair would without her. She has been my sole stylist for 21 years. She recently consulted my 11 year old’s hair growth issues. With Kristal’s recommendations and products her hair hold moisture better, is more manageable and easier to tame between appointments. Hair Care is Kristal’s focus. My daughter’s confidence and comfort has improved because of her support. You will not be disappointed!
I’ve been going to Kristal since February 2022 for hair treatments and Silk Presses. I have received nothing but quality services from her. Whenever I voice hair concerns, she always provide recommendations to ensure my hair is in a healthy state. I also highly recommend if you’re looking for someone who specializes in scalp treatments.
I came into my appointment with two other people already getting styled. I was asked to wait in the waiting room but not for to long. Everything went really well with the wash and dry she was really fast. after that I asked about hair wrapping and I really did appreciate that she helped me learn. When styling my hair the side of my forehead got burned, I honestly didn’t even notice the mark until I got home. . Overall I had a really good experience despite being burned.
