My partner and I decided to have a housewarming, and in order to take the load off we decided to have it catered. A friend of mine recommended Chez Yiamme's and I am elated that she did. The food was absolutely phenomenal! I ordered multiple plates a la carte (Diri ak djon djon (Haitian Black Rice), Haitian Jerk Chicken, Mac n cheese, creole shrimp, plantain cups, etc, and all of my guests and I were in love! The portions were perfect and the price was fair. Chez Yiamme was also extremely professional and responsive. I made many changes and they accommodated me. Listen... If you are looking for authentic and delicious Haitian food, (or any food for that matter) look no further and hire them - you will not be disappointed! I'm already planning my next order for my next party :)
My business had the honor of partnering with Chez Yiamme Catering and it couldn't have gone any better!! Everything from the food, coordination, customer service and presentation was outstanding. The guests left the experience not only for an appetite for more Haitian cuisine, but also a genuine connection with the amazing owners who made it happen.
It disappoints me I have to write such an underwhelming review on this establishment. I came for the Jan 1st Pop-up Event advertised on Instagram. I was excited to support and drove all the way from Alexandria, VA. I preordered my food online as instructed and arrived 30 minutes earlier. Parking was ample. When I arrived, there was a decent sized crowded already waiting inside. Red flag #1: all the people inside were also waiting for their order. I stood in a line of about 10 people ahead of me, all with online preorders. Many people said they had been waiting for 1-2 hours for their food. RIDICULOUS. Well, I too become that person and ended up waiting 1.5 hours for my food. While waiting, I received no updates and no apologies on the delay. Please do not try and justify this by saying 'well this is how X culture establishments operate'. This is not a excuse or valid reason. I ordered in advance, soup joumou and a rice bowl. I can't speak to the company's catering efforts but pop ups and one-one service is not a their point of strength right now. Perhaps this was a beta test to see how things would run but I can tell you as a customer it was a disaster. Overall, food was tasty but the flavor was overshadowed by the bad customer service and lack of organization. I would think twice about visiting this business and their services.
If you're looking for a venue that will exceed your expectations, look no further. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for the perfect location to host their special event. Also the food was absolutely phenomenal! From the appetizers to the entrees, drinks and desserts.
WOW this is the best ever Haitian food in the world. Everything that I ate such. as the rice, griot, Pattie’s taste so good. I would recommend that place to anyone in needs of catering services. Way to go chez Yammie’s catering restaurant. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️
