I have finally found my go-to salon! I came to Yvey with long, frizzy, drab hair and left with the layered cut and luscious blowout of my dreams. Yvey revived my natural curls and gave me the layers that I asked for without sacrificing much of my length. He took the time to listen to what I was looking for and gave me a full walk-through of what he was going to do and why before starting. His expertise and skill is unquestionable and I will definitely be back!
I’ve been getting my hair done by Astrid for a while now and have always absolutely loved the colour! She’s magic. Have had my hair cut by Yvey too and it was the best haircut i think i’ve ever had! 10/10 would recommend Yvey salon to a friend!!
Yesterday I went in to get my afro trimmed , have curly bangs and get it shaped. Instead I got hair that was cut wayyy shorter than expected. I came in with hair that was past my chest and now after my cut , my hair is a little past shoulder length(thats almost 6 inches of hair cut) . asking for layers does not equate to cutting half of my hair off. I was so devasted I just sat in the chair shocked and quiet after yevy washed it trying not to tear up. I also told him about how much my hair shrinks just so he knows not to cut too much but he still cut off half of my hair. Yevy also didnt fully wash my hair and I left the salon with a dirty scalp that I had to rewash at home. I paid 150$ for dirty hair, and for me to walk out the door with frizzy short hair I never asked for. Ive been crying about this since last night and am really disappointed. I feel like I cant wear my hair curly anymore. I tried to blow dry it only to see how much my ends have tangled due to an uneven cut.
I've been seeing Astrid for almost a year now and can't see myself seeing anyone else anymore. She's so friendly, kind and great with conversation & if you feel like not talking she is cool with that as well. I show her a picture of what I want and she's able to recreate it exactly how I want. Every color she's done on me is beautiful. Not only is she an amazing colorist but she really pays attention to the health of your hair. If a color isn't reasonable to get to in one visit or wouldn't be healthy for your hair, she'll let you know. She also has great recommendations for products that would be perfect for your own hair. Astrid is really easy to schedule with online & has great hours. It's always such a treat getting my hair done now. ALSO My 10yr old son has a huge fro and the only person we trust to maintain it is Jeremy. He’s very professional and listens to what my kiddo wants. Not only does he do a great job shaping his hair and lining things up but he is very knowledgeable of the products he should start using or continue using. The salon is always clean and inviting, not to mention such an amazing location! We recommend anyone and everyone to Jeremy and Yvey Salon!
Yvey is amazing! He took the time to listen to my concerns and give his expert opinion. I wanted to keep the length but also have some movement and volume. He cut the perfect amount of layers and I couldn’t be happier with the result. It’s obvious that Yvey is passionate about his work and cares deeply for his clients, wanting them to feel happy and comfortable. A wonderful experience!
