VDT is a fantastic place! The caliber of instruction is truly remarkable for such a small town. The atmosphere is so supportive and the productions are extremely professional, all of the dancers are well prepared and excited to perform. The feature that stands out most to me is that the older students are involved in instruction of the younger students, they know the younger kids names and they are encouraging and kind and act as real role models for the young dancers and give them something to aspire to. I love this studio so much!
Valley Dance Theatre provides an outstanding instructional experience. The progression students make within one year is amazing. Then to see how they continue to improve and develop, not only as performers, but as leaders and contributing members of this theater community, from year to year is truly outstanding. They focus on the whole child and their development beyond just their physical needs as dancers. As a family, we have always felt connected to the studio and well informed on our children's progress and development. The variety of options makes it possible to find a class that fits their interests, challenges them to grow, and have FUN all at the same time!
There aren't enough great things to say about Valley Dance Theatre. The studio owner, Kim Field, is an amazing leader for her staff and students. I have always been impressed and grateful for the time my daughter has studied there. They have stopped at nothing to make sure that COVID didn't take away from any of their students by setting up a fully virtual studio and implementing safety procedures to have classes in studio. Do not think twice about signing you child up for dance here.
We signed our daughter up for classes which were 150 dollars for 30 min sessions which parents couldn't even attend to watch their child participate in due to covid. Then, after only going to 2 sessions—our family was stricken with a family member passing away which resulted in my husband and I struggling to get our daughter to her sessions due to immense amount of extra stress that was put on our family. We asked that due to us only seeing 2 sessions if a partial refund be something that they would consider...they said no we do not do any refunds for absolutely no reason. I understood that a full refund would have been asking for too much, but at least a partial refund would have been in good business. I am a business owner myself, and if someone pre-purchases sessions to see me and within 6 months they need to have a refund for it. I honor it. I understand not ever business works this way, but its called empathy. We had no idea that our circumstances would have turned out like this and that we would have no been able to see to it that our daughter get to her sessions anymore, it just wasn’t practical for our lives and it would have been nice to see a business understand that. I would NEVER refer them ever EVER to anyone. They obviously take your money and have a black and white policy. I think that is in absolute poor taste, especially being an establishment that is ran around serving children.
Rebeckah was the best teacher and choreographer for our mother and daughter dance for my daughter's wedding. The best experience ever and helped provide the best and forever memories of love.
