This shop is amazing and reasonable priced. The owner MK is a beautiful lady. The ladies are so sweet. Rosie did my knotless braids and she braids very neat& quickly. The process from beginning to end was GREAT. I’ll definitely be returning again for braids. BEST BRAIDS in NEW JERSEY hands down!!!!
I met MK and she was very nice although I have read quite a few reviews and they stated that she was rude. She accomodated my daughter after another shop didn't show up for an appt the day I called MK for a walk-in. Unfortunately, I didn't have the hair because I thought most braiding salons actually provided the hair. Anyways, I bought the hair that she recommended which was not good for the style. It was kinky hair for passion twists which requires a fine texture hair. She had her daughter to braid my daughter's hair which looked decent while she was braiding her hair but the hair was too thick and frizzy. I am sure her daughter put in her best efforts to complete the task BUT for $220, the braids last almost 4 wks. She could have clipped the hairs sticking out from the braids which looked shabby. I always try to support black businesses but I WILL CRITIC YOUR SERVICES HONESTLY! I don't think we'll go back there, everyone has a different experience when it comes to receiving services.
Took forever. Gave me a different length and size than what I asked for, the girl that did my hair was very rough. But the braids were done neatly.

This review is not for me, but I witnessed something while I was getting my hair branded there that didn't seat well with me. The owner had a client that had breakages, she refused to braid them, even though the client asked several time. Isn't the while point of having protective style is to help with breakages to salvage your hair? At one point the client herself was the one who braided her damage hair area. That's just ridiculous to me. If I was her I would have gotten up and leave. She was really rude to her too, anyway let me drink my water and mind my business 🤣 Another thing why don't the workers wear masks in this establishment? They spent the whole time talking on the phone over us clients without any masks. Aren't we in a pandemic?
