Tisha is professional, personable, and kind. This was my first time at her hair salon and I decided to get a haircut from her solely based on online reviews. I arrived and immediately explained that I was looking to layer my hair, add some bangs, and to please not lose the length which is something I really wanted to keep. She asked me to show her how much I was willing to cut off, and I did. She executed flawlessly. She gave me exactly what I asked and explained the cut as she went along. It made me comfortable and I was glad she was explaining how she was going about layering my hair and why. I now have texture and volume!! The environment of her salon is warm, welcoming, and relaxing. Tisha has diverse background experiences that clearly contribute to how she approaches the fundamentals of hair, styling, and overall creativity. I was very impressed with her. At the end, I asked for her opinion on what color she thinks would suit my hair as I am a natural brunette. She provided me with a wonderful recommendation that I agreed with and I will be returning to have her color my hair. Strongly recommend Tisha.
It was such a joy being in the space and having Tisha cut, wash, and style my curly hair (my curl type ranges). I loved the energy from Tisha and the space. It felt extra special because I was reminded if my Honduran family and in a time when I really needed community and someone to give me and ny hair some extra love. I am grateful for Tisha’s gifts!
I've been seeing Tisha for a few years now, she's such a joy. I don't have curly hair but this Witch brings out every natural wave I have and I love it! I always ask for a natural-looking cut that will be low maintenance and look effortlessly good, I've always been pleased with the results. Also, Tisha is so kind and friendly! Which is very welcome in this Frigid place. ❤️
Of all the stylists who have ever cut my curly hair, James is a definite favorite. He’s clearly talented at DevaCuts, and recommends treatments that actually work for reducing frizz and defining curls. I especially love how well my hair grows out, and how easygoing James is—doing his good work with fun music in the background. I highly recommend both James and Bruja Salon.
Very happy with my visit to Bruja and my haircut with James. It had been about 15 months since I'd had a 'real' haircut, and the trim I gave myself was a disaster. James took off my dry ends without sacrificing too much length, and shaped into something that suits my face. I think it will be easy to maintain since I can rarely be bothered to do more than a wash and go. Also impressive was how quickly James worked; he cut my hair, washed and detangled, deep conditioned, and dried my hair in a little over an hour. This time, I won't let so much time go by between haircuts and I'd be happy to see James again.
