ZAO MKE is Religious! Sermons teach the from the bible! It's inspirational to worship God from a point of inclusion and love. If you ever stopped attending worship because you were told you were not welcome - that something is "wrong" with you, then consider attending ZAO MKE. If you advocate for LGBTQ+, then consider attending ZAO MKE. ZAO MKE is Jesus-rooted, justice centered, radically inclusive.
Zao MKE Church is the most welcoming church and community I have ever been a part of! They truly live out their missions of being Jesus rooted, justice centered, and radically inclusive. Pastor Jonah and Pastor Cameron are truly amazing leaders!
I have never felt so loved in a place of worship than I have at Zao. Jonah and Cameron and the leadership at this church are passionate, inclusive, and filled with the grace and love of God, which they offer freely to anyone present at service on Sundays. It is a place for all people who wish to join, and I have made lifelong connections with incredible people. Being a member of the Zao community fills me with purpose and joy.
Though I have not attended in person as I live out of state, I’ve been following Zao since it’s beginnings and have enjoyed catching messages on Facebook live throughout the pandemic. They are authentic in their passion for Jesus, love, and justice. They embrace many who have been rejected by the church. Zao is a church of radical love because of Jesus, and that love shows itself in acceptance and action. Zao is a beautiful community lead by beautiful humans.
When I need an example of a Christian church that lives the values of Jesus with passion and integrity, I always point to Zao MKE Church. I am grateful for the way they love, heal, and help shape the world around them to reflect God's deep love for all people. I highly recommend this community of faith!
