Ben was immediately friendly and welcoming and very interested in what activities were of interest to us to help us finalize the country that would fit us best. The safari he arrange was phenomenal. We couldn't have asked for a better experience at the Ivory Wilderness in Krueger Park, South Africa. He was also very attentive while we were on the trip. At one hotel, upon late night check-in, they weren't going to give us the reserved room with a king bed. After contacting Ben, he called over and we were pretty immediately given the correct room! He was also very patient with us during the planning process as we were pretty particular coming to him with plenty of questions and changes upon doing some of our own research.
We had a trip of a lifetime that will not be forgotten. Ombeni and his staff are incredible. When we were told it would be a trip that we would remember, how true. We were treated as royalty right from the start and throughout the entire trip. The staff that Ombeni has, be it the tour guide, the driver, the cook, the wait staff, whomever we had contact with, were of the highest quality to make our trip what it was. Their friendliness, and dedication to ensure we had a great time was proven daily. Every day was a new adventure. After we returned and asked what was the highlight of the trip, we can honestly say that everyday was a highlight, it could be the animals we saw, the lodging we had, the people we met, Ombeni's staff, the Massai, it doesn't end. It is a wonderful experience that we would recommend and am very grateful that we went with Ombeni Safari. Madelyn A
We traveled with 4 other people on a 15 day Ombeni arranged Tanzanian Safari. Primary parks were; Tarangire, Ngorongo Crater and Serengeti. The trip was a wonderful mixture of game drives and visiting tribes. We saw all of the big cats - mostly lions. Elephants, Giraffes, Zebras, Wildabeests, Hippos, Cape Buffalo, and many varieties of antelope were in abundance. We did manage to see a Black Rhino and her baby and several crocs. Our excellent driver, Aimi, knew all of the roads and where to locate game. About the roads - be prepared for lots of bumps and dust. (They are all well used dirt roads.) One morning we got up early and visitied the nomadic Hadzabe people. It was truely a look back in time. The group particularly enjoyed staying at the Maasai lodge and the Kati Kati tent camp. These locations had both wonderful staffs and outstanding meals. It's a magical morning when you wake up and watch a giraffe and zebras walk past your tent. It's a trite phrase, but it was the trip of a lifetime.
